Here is a lilttle somthing I am working on! Remember this is not done but maybe just the start I still need to correct some things and maybe add and take away! Anyhow here it is so far! Just something the Lord gave me! What happened to training our kids? In todays world we have seem to lost the art and skill of training and disciplining our kids to act in a upright manner. We have not taught them self control! More likely we have taught them how to self indulge. Todays mentally let the children decide for them selfs rather they want to do something or not . Then when they get older and in trouble with the law or some other way we are appalled~! Did we really take the time to train them when they were young?Do we know how to train and discipline our kids? The word discipline means 1. Training of the mind. ( How does someone train the mind?) (Romans 12:1-2) Body (How does someone train the body?) or Character that demands great obedience to the rules: Controlled behavior that results from this training;
(what self control the a fruit of the Spirit?) :Orderly (What order?) (Our God is a God of order) conduct; To train to be obedient : ( what obedient s what thats what God tells our Children to do?) (Eph 6:1-2) Training and disciplining is not hurting our kids but directing the right way they should go. Just as the Lord does for us! Recently I had a dream about a Mom with 2 kids. Her kids were very unruly untrained and very indiscipline. In my dream the mom had no control over her kids! I even at one point told my friend that the little girl just needed a spanking. Now spanking are not abusing your kids but rather giving them a consequences for their actions letting them know they did something wrong! Other wise how will they ever know that there are consequences to their actions or how will they be able to tell right from wrong? We are not born just knowing all! That is why we spend half our lives going to school and learning things we may need to know to get by in this world. Anyhow back to the story of my dream in front of the Mom when I could about take it no more I asked the the little girl if she would like to go to timeout. I really do not remember the rest of my dream from there or maybe it ended there but beside the point I really believe the Lord gave this dream to me to think about training our kids and . And believe me it did get me thinking~! You see I really believe that we are either training our kids to act upright or unruly! When kids act unruly who wants to be around them? A re they are blessing to others? Do they know how to put others before them selfs? Who are they being a witness for? The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world! Have you ever heard of that saying? Well Its true! Even Hitler knew this with the Hitler youth! You see even the Devil knows that our kids our in the training grounds that is why there is such a battle for their souls at a very young age! Our we teaching how to put on the Armor of God daily? Are we teaching how to pray in the Spirit at all times and how to be prayed up! Yes Mom and Dad this a part of your calling to train your children in the ways of the Lord (not Sunday school teaches school teachers and other people like that) now don't get me wrong that does not mean that God can not use a teacher to teach your kids something or even other people ect) these are all good a blessing, and yes I sure God can even use other people like this to speck in our kids lives but, what I am saying is that it is not up to them to bring up our Children in the way they should go! God has called you Mom and Dad to work as a team (one) to train your children! You are called daily to raise and train your kids! Deu 6: 5-7 Are we educating our children that the Lord can use them now! That they are to set examples to the believes in live,love, speech and purity Have they been taught this? (1Tim 4:12) Are we teaching them how to listen and hear the Lord's voice? God called Samuel at a young age by name Samuel had to be trained in what to say and willing to obey Eli when Eli told him. You see at a young age Samuel was being used by he Lord to speck to the Priest Eli. What happened to Eli did not train his sons to fear or horner the Lord? Did Eli son's horner him as a father? Have we taught our kids how to horner us (Eph 6:2-4) What is your relationship with your kids? What is their relationship with the Lord? Is their relationship with you a morrow of what their relationship is with the Lord? If it was would that be a good thing? Well you see the labor of your fruit right away? Probably not! Like a lot of things that produces good fruit takes time with lots of diligently hard work! And in the end we start to see the fruit of our labor and it starts to pay off! So don't give up on this high calling that the Lord has called you too! Remember this is your Mission field right there in your home and if you train them right in the way of the Lord and don't give up and pray for them God says train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old that he will not depart! God word does not return void so don't give up on training them and praying for them! This is a high calling and a horner! Who's kids are they really? God gave them to you for a short time! Learn to enjoy your kids because this time will not last forever! The days are short and evil so we are to make the most of our time! Remember the impact you make on your kids will be there forever! Your kids are watching you and you can either be their biggest fans or not! They are looking to you for the way they should go! Yes Mom and Dad you are the model that your kids are watching and acting out! Scary yes I sure it can be! Are you setting a good example with each others relationship that you would want your kids to follow your foot steps? Remember you always have the little eyes watching you and wanting to be just like you Mom and Dad You are the light of the world right in your own house! So just as you fall from time to time and just as the Lord has to correct us and and help us sometimes get back up and start over again ! A righteous man falls seven times but gets back up again! In this it is apart of training our kids how to get back up and try again! We are not to stay down and in pity that we fell no get back up and try again! Just like when we learned to ride a bike. We did not stay down after we fell off no we got back on again till we had it! If we would have stayed off the 1st time we felled off our bikes we would have never learned to ride our bikes! Who will be held accountable for your Children's actions? Was Eli held accountable for his sons actions? If so why? Was it up to Him or someone else to direct His sons in the way they should go? Now keep in mind that who your kids hang out with the most is who they are most likely going to be like! So it's your choice rather it be Jr next door or you! Haven't you heard of that saying something like who you hang out with is who you become! I am still working on this but so far this is what I have! What do yall think? Blessings! Siobhan |
